• Founded in 2000 by Amanda and the late Michael G. Doyle MRCVS to safeguard the long-term future care of their many rescued animals, the Equus Foundation will continue to operate as long as there is need.
• To rescue, rehabilitate and provide a place of safety for equines in need.
• To protect the dignity and nature of the horse and to cater for their physical, psychological and instinctive needs holistically.
• To provide retirement facilities for aged equines until the end of their natural life span.
• To advise, educate and promote responsible ownership and humane treatment of all animals.
• To provide/promote therapeutic integration between equines and humans with special needs.
• The Equus Foundation also rescues, neuters and re-homes dogs.
• New homes are carefully chosen to ensure suitability and long-term success.
• The Equus Foundation provides permanent care for aged and ‘special needs’ animals. Quality of life is of the utmost importance.
• Wildlife and farm animals are also catered for.
• Amanda Doyle is qualified in natural horsemanship. She has been involved in voluntary animal rescue work for thirty+ years.
